Heatherwilde Boulevard Bridge Reopened In Pflugerville Post-Wreck

Officials sent a mass text message to residents alerting to the closure amid a winter weather advisory before it was sanded.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — The Heatherwilde Boulevard bridge was briefly closed Thursday morning following a collision resulting from ice on the road before it was reopened, officials said.

A mass text message was sent to residents alerting to the closure. By 11 a.m., officials sent a second text notifying residents the road had been sanded down to allow for its reopening.

The region is under a winter weather advisory meant to alert to potentially hazardous driving conditions as a result of ice accumulation on area roadways.
