Motorcyclist Killed In North Austin Wreck Identified

According to a police report, 48-year-old Michael Ivanowski was traveling along the 13300 block of FM 620 when he hit a guardrail.

AUSTIN, TX — Police on Wednesday identified the motorcyclist who was killed last month after striking a curb in North Austin.

According to a police report, 48-year-old Michael Ivanowski was traveling on a motorcycle when he struck a curb along the 13300 block of FM 620 southbound. Police said Ivanowski was unable to regain control before striking a guardrail, causing him to be ejected from the motorcycle. Ivanowski, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene.

This was Austin’s fifth fatal traffic crash of 2021, police said, resulting in five fatalities. At the time in 2020, police added, there were eight traffic fatalities.
