On Wednesday, July 11, 2018 Scott Ammer passed away unexpectedly at his home in Westmont, IL. Although born in Morris, IL he was raised in Austin, TX and was a Texan at heart until the end. He returned to Morris to care for his grandfather and best friend, Bob Drake, for many years. Scott was a great salesman and had a successful career in the insurance industry.

He was to all who knew him, a six foot five, larger than life gregarious, hilarious, life of the party. He loved Michigan football, as a matter of fact he loved just about everything about Michigan. His greatest love aside from family and friends was his love of golf. He could drive a golf ball farther than anyone he knew, but he drove them so far he sometimes couldn’t find them. If you were with Scott, you were laughing, that’s it, his humor was infectious. His two children were by far in his words “his proudest accomplishments in life”. He was also happiest when he was with them.

Preceded by his mother, Katherine (nee Drake) Ammer.
