Pflugerville ISD Police Department is seeking applicants who can fill the department's police officer position for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.

As a police officer for the school district, an officer will patrol district property to protect all students, personnel, and visitors from physical harm and prevent property loss due to theft or vandalism, according to the job's online description.

The position will work independently and enforce all laws including municipal ordinances, county ordinances and state laws.

The district is seeking a person with a background in law enforcement or related work experience, according to the job's online description.

Educational experience is high school diploma or GED, Texas Peace Officer License issued by Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) and a clear and valid Texas driver’s license.

According to the district's website, the position lands on the PD2 scale for 226 days, which starts at $28.90 an hour ($52,251 salary) and a maximum of $39.32 an hour ($71,091 salary).
