Pflugerville Moves To Stage 3 In Its Risk-Based Guidelines
The city announced Saturday it would follow Austin Public Health's decision to move to Stage 3 in its coronavirus risk-based guidelines.

PFLUGERVILLE — The city of Pflugerville has moved to Stage 3 of its COVID-19 risk-based guidelines over the weekend, officials said.
The city announced Saturday it would follow in accordance to Austin Public Health's decision to move to Stage 3 in its coronavirus risk-based guidelines.
This stage recommends everyone continue to wear a mask, social distance, and practice good hygiene. Those over the age of 65 and those who have chronic medical conditions should avoid non-essential dining, shopping, and travel, according to the city's website.

The city said everyone should continue to avoid gatherings with social groups greater than 10. Businesses and restaurants can voluntarily operate at a reduced capacity of 50-75 percent.
The city, like Austin, was previously in stage 4, which along with some stage 3 recommendations, advises individuals to avoid non-essential travel and recommends businesses to operate up to 25-50 percent capacity.

The city said its parks and recreation department will open sports fields, park pavilion rentals and the Pflugerville Recreation Center basketball court on Wednesday.
Starting March 22, the recreation center will offer expanded hours from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. – 7 pm. Friday, closed Saturday, and from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday.
The basketball court at the Recreation Center is specifically reserved for pickleball on Monday and Wednesday from 5- 8 p.m. and basketball on Tuesday and Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

- Lake Pflugerville Park is open.
- Windermere Pool is open for lap swim by reservation.
