Pflugerville Will Make $1.2M Improvements At Gilleland Creek Pool

The council voted on June 8 to replace the bathhouse and lifeguard station at the park to prevent future flooding.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — The Plugerville City Council has voted to spend $1.2 million to replace structures at Gilleland Creek Park.

The council voted on June 8 to replace the bathhouse and lifeguard station at the park. The improvements will include raising the bathhouse's elevation to prevent flooding and demolishing and replacing the building to allow it to be more flood-proof, city officials said.

In April, the council unanimously decided to not proceed with the project, but after considering three other options to spend the money, it voted to proceed with the Gilleland Creek Park pool project.
