Pflugerville Will No Longer Require Masks, Reopen All Facilities
The city of Pflugerville will no longer require face masks this weekend and plans to reopen all public lobbies and facilities June 1.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX — The city of Pflugerville will no longer require face masks starting this weekend and plans to reopen all public lobbies and facilities June 1.
In accordance with Gov. Greg Abbott's latest order, the city announced Friday it will no longer require visitors and staff to wear a face mask starting Saturday.
On Tuesday, Abbott issued an Executive Order prohibiting governmental entities in Texas — including counties, cities, school districts, public health authorities, or government officials — from requiring or mandating mask wearing.

The city still encourages everyone to continue to wear a face mask and follow current CDC recommendations.

Pflugerville also announced its plans to reopen all public lobbies and facilities starting June 1.

City hall (utility billing and city administration), planning and development services, public works and Pflugerville Justice Center (Central Records and Municipal Court) will reopen for walk-ins in June.
The Pflugerville Animal Welfare Services will expand its hours to Monday - Friday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday - Sunday, noon - 5 p.m. The Pflugerville Recreation Center will reopen all closed spaces, including the newly renovated game room, meeting room, senior activity room and new upstairs workout space.
These spaces are open for informal use as no recreation classes are currently scheduled, but programs will be added throughout the summer. At this time, facility hours will remain as is and the senior programs remain suspended. Here's a full list of facility amenities.
The Pflugerville Public Library will also return to regular hours, resume shelf-browsing and discontinue quarantining returns. All programs will remain virtual until further notice and meeting rooms will become available at a later date. Curbside service will be available on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Outdoor services including the Recycle Center and Pecan Street Community Garden will continue to operate regularly, and the weekly Pflugerville Pfarmers Market resumed on Tuesday, May 11, 3 - 7 p.m. at the Pflugerville United Methodist Church.
The regular summer pool season begins Saturday, May 29 and Falcon Pointe Splash Park, Stone Hill Splash Pad, Windermere Pool and Gilleland Creek Pool, will open without restrictions.
