Share The Love Program Offers Christmas Gifts For Pets
Meals On Wheels Central Texas PALS and Subaru Austin partner to give pets of homebound seniors donated gifts this Christmas.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX — There are countless opportunities to lend a helping hand this Christmas season. In the spirit of the season, the Meals on Wheels Central Texas PALS (Pets Assisting the Lives of Seniors) and Austin Subaru have partnered for Share the Love: PALS Giving Treehappening Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
The event asks the community to come and pick out an ornament from the Christmas tree to purchase an item or two for a pet's wishlist. You'll have the chance to join friends and neighbors to share a cookie and have pictures taken with Santa.
PALS is an important program providing assistance in caring for the pets of current Meals on Wheels Central Texas clients. Seniors rely on much needed companionship from pets to help reduce isolation and loneliness experienced by many of the homebound seniors and adults with disabilities.
