Students At North Austin School Exposed To Pepper Spray
Medics responded to Lamar Middle School to evaluate 26 minors who were exposed to the spray, although it's unclear how they were exposed.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — More than two dozen students were medically evaluated Wednesday morning after being exposed to pepper spray, according to medics.
Austin-Travis County EMS medics were dispatched to Lamar Middle School, 6201 Wynona Ave., amid reports of the exposure. All told, medics said, 26 minors were treated but did not require transport to a medical facility.
It's unclear how the children came to be exposed to the pepper spray or who might have sprayed it. Patch will update once more details are known.

The incident comes one day after students of Paredes Middle School, 10100 S Mary Moore Searight Dr., in South Austin were evacuated amid reports of gas odor. One child in that case was transported to a health facility for further medical treatment after several other people were evaluated.
