Man In Custody After Fatal Stabbing In Pflugerville
A man was arrested in connection to a fatal stabbing in Pflugerville on Memorial Day.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX— A man was arrested in connection to a fatal stabbing in Pflugerville on Memorial Day.
A man, whose identity has yet to be released, was arrested Monday without incident by Travis County Sheriff deputies. Police believe the man fatally stabbed another man in the 500 block of E. Howard Lane.
Police received a 911 call at 11:39 a.m. Monday for a report of a man stabbing someone and threatening a second person on Howard Lane, according to the Travis County Sheriff's Office.

When sheriff deputies arrived at the scene, they found the suspect involved in the incident. About the same time, deputies found a man dead in a building behind a home, officials said.
The suspect immediately surrendered to law enforcement officers and was taken into custody without incident, authorities said. He was taken by Austin-Travis County EMS to an area hospital for treatment.

Detectives for the sheriff's office believe the suspect was known to the man and said there is no danger to the public.
Authorities said an autopsy will be conducted by the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office to confirm the victim’s identity and cause of death. The identity will be released upon confirmation and notification of next of kin.
This is the second homicide investigated by the Travis County Sheriff’s Office in 2021, officials said.
