Tickets Now On Sale For Austin 'Sunset Sessions'

AUSTIN, TX — Tickets are now on sale for “Sunset Sessions,” a live music showcase presented by White Light Exposure, benefitting SIMS Foundation, organizers at Eberly announced Monday.

The second show of the recurring monthly series is slated for Sunday, Sept. 29 featuring Midcentury as the opener and Jackie Venson as headliner.

"Hosted in Eberly’s private rooftop event space, Sunset Sessions are designed to offer a rare experience: intimate sets by locally and nationally recognized artists accompanied by the setting sun over Austin," officials noted.

EVENT DETAILS

Sunset Sessions was born out of the desire to see great bands in a beautiful setting without the hassle of braving large crowds, fighting for parking, or waiting in long lines. In true Eberly fashion, the restaurant will offer artist-inspired food and specialty cocktails inspired by each month’s featured artist.

A portion of the proceeds from each showcase will benefit the SIMS Foundation, a local non-profit providing mental health and addiction recovery services for Austin musicians, music industry professionals, and their families in an effort to support the well-being of the Austin music community. In addition, in the week leading up to each show, Eberly will offer the special, artist-inspired cocktail in the Cedar Tavern, with $1 from each cocktail sold being donated to the foundation.

GA and VIP tickets for the second showcase are now available online HERE. In addition to valet parking and photobooth access that’s available to GA, VIP admission will also include a drink ticket and food item of choice, an autographed Sunset Sessions poster, and an Eberly gift card for future use. Guests are welcome to come early and enjoy Vinyl DJ sets by Hard Silk, snap a photo at the photo booth, mingle with our emcee Laurie Gallardo of KUTX, and learn more about SIMS Foundation. The party continues downstairs in the Cedar Tavern with a post-show vinyl DJ set.

Jackie Venson

Recognized by the Austin American-Statesman as the “2017 Breakout Artist of the Year,” Jackie Venson is a multi-instrumentalist who has long abandoned the straight-laced world of classical for the raw power of blues and soul tied with deeply heartfelt lyrics.
