Typhoon Texas Austin Schedules 'Back To School Bash'

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Typhoon Texas Austin will incorporate fireworks and special activities at the theme park in upcoming "Back To School Bash" events ahead of kids' return to school following their summer break.

The aquatic theme park will kick off the bash this weekend with fireworks on Friday evening, Aug. 9, and various activities during the day Friday, Saturday and Sunday, including:

• Live music all day (deejays and live bands).
• Face painter.
• Balloon artist.
• Mermaid sightings.
• Photo ops with famous characters.
• Food and beverage specials.

The fireworks are set off at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, and additional activities will be staged each day Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9-11. Typhoon Texas Austin is located at 18500 TX-130 North Service Road.

Fireworks and special activities are included in the cost of admission. Daily admission is $34.99 for anyone 48 inches tall and up; $24.99 for kids under 48 inches tall; free admission for kids 2 years old and younger. Aug. 9 Traffic Notice: Please note guests are not allowed to exit the Typhoon Texas parking lot to FM 685. Parking lot will be staffed all day and evening to manage traffic flow. Expect large crowds when fireworks end and the waterpark closes. Please be patient.
