Typhoon Texas Poised To Open For Summer In Pflugerville
The 25-acre water park has scheduled a summer opening for Saturday, June 1, with new attractions and features on tap.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX — It's a real sign of summer when the local water park gets ready to open. The 25-acre Typhoon Texas Austin is poised to do just that, readying for a June 1 opening, officials said on Wednesday.
Come Saturday, visitors for the opening will notice several new amenities this season at the water-themed amusement park, including the PFlowRider. As the only surf simulator in the Austin area, the PFlowRider draws thrill-seekers who want to give stand-up or body surfing a try, and spectators who enjoy watching. Guests will also enjoy new activities in this area of the park, including corn hole boards, music and a mobile bar.
Typhoon Texas offered a sneak peek when it opened a few select days in May to give the public additional days to enjoy the water park before school is out for summer. The water park welcomed big Memorial Day weekend crowds eager to try out the new attraction and enjoy the park’s upgrades, expanded in-park entertainment and a second full-service bar on the island in the middle of the park near the popular Gully Washer and splash pad.

It’s going to be a great summer at Typhoon Texas!”
Typhoon Texas also added more amenities this season, such as free valet parking on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays; six new private cabanas for a total of 30 private cabanas available to reserve; a new drink refill station in the middle of the park; a state-of-the-art water filtration system that makes the water in the Tidal Wave Bay wave pool crystal clear; and complimentary shuttle service.
