Woman, 2-Year-Old Boy Injured In North Austin Shooting

AUSTIN, TX — A 20-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy were shot and injured in a north Austin shooting Sunday night, police said.
The woman was hospitalized for serious injuries and the toddler for non-life threatening injuries Sunday, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
Austin Police Department confirmed in an update early Monday the 2-year-old boy is fine and the woman had gone through surgery. No additional information was available at the time.

Police said the 911 call initially came in as a robbery around 9 p.m. Sunday in the 9900 block of Quail Boulevard. A male suspect remained at-large as of 10 p.m. Sunday, authorities said.
