Woman Killed In North Austin 2-Car Wreck Identified

The crash took place at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 3900 block of West Howard Lane.

AUSTIN, TX — Police on Wednesday identified the driver killed in a two-vehicle wreck in North Austin one week ago.

The crash took place at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 3900 block of West Howard Lane, according to a police advisory. Jasmine Symon Campos was driving a gray 2019 Nissan Sentra westbound on West Howard Lane when she crashed into a white 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis heading eastbound, police said.

The driver of the Marquis was taken to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center with serious injuries and is currently in stable condition. Campos was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was Austin’s third fatal traffic crash of 2021, police said, the same as in 2020 by this time.
