2 Killed In Shootout During Possible Drug Deal: Police
Witnesses told police they'd heard the shooting and saw several men running from the home in the 16300 block of Pecan Street.

CHANNELVIEW, TX — Two men were killed during a shootout at a home in Channelview Wednesday morning, police said. The shootout happened at about 2:30 a.m. in the 16300 block of Pecan Street.
When investigators arrived at the scene, they found one man dead at the scene. Witnesses told police they’d heard the shooting and saw several men running from the home.
"There is evidence of drugs inside the home," Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.

While investigators were still at the scene, they were alerted to a motor vehicle-pedestrian accident in he 15200 block of Market Street a couple miles from the shooting.

Gonzalez said when deputies arrived at the accident scene, they found a man in the street dead from a gunshot wound. Both of the victims were young Hispanic men in the late teens or early 20s, he said.

"It appears both [scenes] are related," Gonzalez said.
Investigators said they do not know if the man’s body was dumped in the street or if he fled the scene and died. A possible third victim showed up a nearby hospital.
Gonzalez said they are looking for a white Ford F-150 pickup that was seen fleeing the area.
The incident remains under investigation.
