35-Acre Island in League City on the Real Estate Market

The island is designed as a luxury community and includes a lighthouse, home lots, boat slips and a board walk.

LEAGUE CITY, TX -- A 35-acre island in League City originally designed to be a luxury residential community with 85 boat slips, 800 units and a boardwalk is back on the market.

The man-made island, which also includes an iconic 33-year old lighthouse, was dubbed Beacon Island and will be sold with the lots included.

However, the asking price of this Gulf Coast jewel is not listed.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the price is simply labeled as " to be determined" with a "by market" note.

The land is divided into four sections: a 12-acre sprawl intended to accommodate mid- and high-rise apartments, one for 95 townhouses, another for 32 patio homes and a fourth area for 37 waterfront homes.

Four homes have already been built on the lakefront land, and there's a fifth under construction, and once they are completed will be zoned to Clear Creek ISD.

If the entire island is out of the question or financially just not unfeasible, then individual lots are still available and are being marketed by Better Homes And Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene - Bay Area.
