  • Haunted House: The city of Pasadena presents a haunted house at O'Dell Harrison Recreation Center, located at 415 Delta, on Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. The center will also show a movie about zombies written by, directed by and starring area children. The film will appear on a 27-foot, inflatable movie screen. The center has presented a haunted house for children in the past, but this year's haunted house is larger open to the general public.
  • Trunk or Treat: Children of the Pasadena community are invited to Trunk or Treat with Pasadena Police Department officers on Oct. 29 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Pasadena Police Academy, located at 4801 Spencer. This event is free to attend. Call (713) 475-7025 for further information.
  • Scare and Share: Happening off Oct. 28, 7-9 p.m., Pasadena Little League will host the first, annual Scare and Share, a celebration of community. Residents are encouraged to arrive dressed in their best costumes and visit booths set up by each little league team, featuring games on two ballparks. Admission is one nonperishable food item, to be donated to the local food bank. There will be a children's costume contest, with a $50 gift card as top prize. The event kicks off at Ben Briar Park, located at 1115 Bennett Dr.
  • Creepy Crawlers: A family-oriented event, Creepy Crawlers is presented by the Armand Bayou Nature Center, located at 8500 Bay Area Blvd. The event will include a haunted barn, haystack dive, guided night hike, face painting, storytelling, games and outdoor activities. Call (713) 274-2688 for further details.
  • Stage Door Presents Evil Dead The Musical: Stage Door Inc., located at 284 Pasadena Town Square Mall, presents Evil Dead: The Musical on Oct. 29. The plot of the musical follows five college students who visit an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them into demons. One man, Ash Williams, is left to save the day. The production features profanity and violence and is not a family show. Performances will be held at 8 p.m. and midnight (Sunday).
