Ballot Questions Arise During Early Voting In Baytown

Some newly annexed residents in Baytown received the wrong ballot when they went to the polls during early voting.

BAYTOWN, TX — Residents who were recently annexed into the city of Baytown reported getting the wrong ballot when they went to the polls. Nearly 300 residents who were annexed into the city last year received a ballot that didn’t have the mayoral race or the propositions that city residents are voting for on Nov. 6.

City officials said all the documents related to the annexation were submitted on time to ensure that everyone received the correct ballots.

Officials said any of those people who were annexed will need to alert the onsite elections officials if they receive the wrong ballot. Ballot questions can be directed to the Baytown City Clerk’s Office at 281-420-6697.
