La Porte 2016 Olympic Update: Kerron Clement
Kerron Clement, a La Porte High School alumnus, will be making his third straight appearance in the 2016 Olympics in Rio on Monday, Aug. 15.
LA PORTE, TX — Two-time Olympian and two-time Olympic medalist Kerron Clement will be competing in the men's 400m hurdles on Monday, Aug. 15, in the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
For Clement, this will be his third straight Olympics. At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, Clement won a silver medal in the 400 m hurdles as well as a gold medal in the 4 x 400m relay.
He also ran the 400m hurdles at the 2012 Olympics in London, although he didn't medal. Round one of this year's men's 400m hurdles starts at 9:35 a.m.
