Magellan Midstream Plans to Build $335 million Terminal in Pasadena

Magellan Midstream Partners announced the construction of a $335 million terminal in Pasadena.

Pasadena, TX -- Magellan Midstream Partners will construct a $335 million high-capacity marine terminal on 200 acres of land along the Houston Ship Channel in Pasadena.

When the terminal begins operation in 2019, it will handle refined petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel fuel and renewable fuels and will have enough storage for 1 million barrels.

The terminal will also have a new marine dock capable of handling Panamax-sized ships or barges with up to a 40-foot draft.

Magellan is also constructing a 36-inch pipeline between the existing Galena Park terminal and the new Pasadena terminal to enhance connectivity and distribution options for both facilities.

The company also plans to tie its 18-inch 18-inch Texas City-to-Pasadena pipeline to the new facility.
