Man Killed After Driving SUV Through Crosby Home

Police said it was the second time kin a year that a vehicle has crashed into the home on Bluff View Drive.

CROSBY, TX — Police say a man was driving too fast when he rounded a curve in a quiet neighborhood and crashed his SUV into the side of a home in Crosby Tuesday morning. The crash happened at about 2:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of Bluff View Drive at Foley Road.

Investigators said the driver was traveling west on Foley Road and turned onto Bluff View Drive going too fast. Police said the driver lost control, crashed through a guard rail and smashed into the side of a home.

No one was in the home at the time of the crash, but the driver of the SUV was killed. Investigators have not released the driver's identity and are trying to determine if he was impaired or had a medical emergency.

This is the second time that a vehicle has crashed into the home. Police said a car crashed through the home and caused significant damage in July 2018. The home was being rebuilt from the first crash when the second crash occurred, police said.
