Pasadena ISD to Hold Community Meeting to Discuss Tax Rate

PASADENA, TX — Budget season is here again, and the Pasadena Independent School District's board of trustees are holding a meeting to discuss the district's proposed tax rate.

The tax rate being considered is $1.35 per $100 valuation, the same as last year. Although the rate will remain the same it is possible that homeowners will see their tax bills increase because of increased property value.

The majority of the tax rate, $1.07 per $100 valuation, will go towards maintenance and operations. The remaining $0. 28 will go towards debt service.

The discussion will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, at the district's Administration Building, 1515 Cherrybrook Ln., in Pasadena.
