Pasadena ISD Partners with Houston Methodist St. John for Sports Medicine
The Pasadena ISD board recently voted to partner with Houston Methodist St. John hospital for sports medicine.

Pasadena, TX -- With high school sports about to gear up, Pasadena ISD recently announced that the district had partnered with Houston Methodist St. John.
The hospital will provide medical and financial support to the district’s 9,800 athletic students and 400 coaches and athletic trainers. As part of the support package, Houston Methodist St. John will provide orthopedic surgeons at football games to care for injured athletes.

The hospital will also hold weekly injury clinics for football players to receive evaluations from medical professionals, as well as professional development opportunities for athletic trainers and coaches in the district.
The hospital will also award two annual $2,500 sports medicine scholarships to benefit students.

Pasadena ISD chose to partner with Houston Methodist St. John after a long-term contract with Memorial Hermann Hospital ended in the spring.
The three-year partnership agreement with Houston Methodist St. John will last until 2019.
