PASADENA, TX — If you see something, say something. That’s the Pasadena Police Department is trying to convey to residents after seeing a steady increase in home burglaries.
Since the start of 2019, there have been 182 home burglaries reported in Pasadena, with 38 of those reported in June. Many of the home burglaries have happened on the north side of Pasadena, police said.
Pasadena Police are asking residents to take a few precautions and make sure their homes are locked when they leave, and to report suspicious activities in the neighborhood.
Some of the added security measures recommended by Pasadena Police are:

  • Installing a home security system.
  • Make sure all doors and windows are locked and secured every time you leave your home.
  • If you notice suspicious activity in your neighborhood, report it.
  • If you see a suspicious person at your neighbor's house, report it.
  • If you notice anything out of the ordinary, report it.

If your home is burglarized, report it. Even if nothing is missing from your home after a break in, a police report could help solve past burglaries, and stop more from happening.
As always, if you have an emergency dial 911. For non-emergencies, please call 713-477-1221.
