Drug abuse and overdose is a serious problem that affects people young and old alike. And prescription drugs left lying around are a major contributing factor in prescription drug abuse.
The 2015 National Survey on Drug Use and Health shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends and 6.4 million Americans abused controlled prescription drugs.
