Coit Road To Close For Railway Maintenance Next Week

PLANO, TX — Coit Road will be closed to traffic from March 12 to March 14 while Kansas City Southern Railway does scheduled construction work on the roadway crossing between Plano Parkway and Mapleshade Lane.

The location between the 400 and 600 blocks of Coit Road will be completely closed to traffic at the crossing.

Signed detours will be provided for the crossing. Through traffic on Coit Road north of Mapleshade Lane will not be permitted at the KCS railroad crossing. Traffic northbound on Coit Road will follow Mapleshade Lane west to Ohio Drive then east along Plano Parkway.

Through traffic south of Plano Parkway will not be permitted at the KCS railroad crossing. Traffic southbound on Coit Road will follow Plano Parkway east to Independence Parkway or west to Ohio Drive. Traffic eastbound and westbound on Plano Parkway will not be permitted to travel southbound on Coit Road at the KCS intersection. Local businesses with access drives on Coit Road north of Mapleshade Lane and south of Plano Parkway will retain access.
