Plano Residents 'Most Excited For Christmas' Among Texas Cities

Researchers from LawnStarter found that Plano residents are more excited for Christmas than those of any other Texas city.

PLANO, TX — Everyone loves the holidays, but folks in Plano love it the most. At least according to a study from LawnStarter. That's right, the company known for providing lawn services, inspired by a myriad of Yuletide yards, got into the Christmas spirit and did some holiday research.

According to LawnStarter's website, "we get to see first hand the Christmas decorations residents put up. Some areas will have a few decorations here and there, others will have a handful of homes with the full gambit."

It was those yards that led researchers from LawnStarter to question why some areas seemed more festive than others. To find an answer, they turned to Google Trends data and looked at search metrics related to the Christmas season.

What they found is that some Texas cities are more festive than others. But the data seemed not to help the researchers find any trends or commonalities to explain why the cities seem to crave Christmas. "Perhaps some of our readers can let us know," they wrote on the LawnStarter site.

Here's how Texas' 20-most excited cities ranked.
