Plano PD Information Officer Awarded For Informing Public
Nextdoor chose officer David Tilley as one of only 35 winners from a pool of 900,000 officers using the app.

PLANO, TX — Nextdoor, the app used to contact neighbors share important information with residents of cities across the United States, has named Plano Police Department's Officer David Tilley as one of the 2018 Neighborhood Champions in Law Enforcement.
Tilley was chosen from a pool of 900,000 law enforcement officers on Nextdoor and awarded one of only 35 such victories.
Only three Texas officers were chosen among the winners, including officers from Odessa and Houston.

Nextdoor said its decision to select Tilley as a winner was based on the appreciation Plano residents showed him through the app. (Subscribe to your local Patch for breaking news alerts and daily digests of the most important news stories in your area.)
“PIO David Tilley is receiving national recognition as one of Nextdoor’s 2018 Neighborhood Champions for his superb use of Nextdoor to better serve his community," Nextdoor said in a statement. "Tilley won this recognition based on the tremendous amount of appreciation (‘Thanks’ and replies) he has received from neighbors in response to his Nextdoor posts. Nextdoor will be officially honoring Officer Tilley the week of July 23rd on its social media channels, as the finale to its summer safety campaign.”
