School Closings, Delays Around Dallas For Feb. 7
A band of freezing temperatures is bringing icy precipitation to North Texas. Here's how it's affecting schools, businesses on Feb. 7, 2018.
With heavy rain and freezing temperatures permeating the North Texas areas, some schools have made the preemptive decision to cancel and delay classes. Although meteorologists believe most of the moisture will evaporate before it causes problems on roadways, some bridges and overpasses are still at risk of developing slick patches.
Here's a list of schools in and around Dallas that have announced delays:
- Lindsay ISD — Delayed to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday
- Valley View — Delayed to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday
- Walnut Bend — Delayed to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday
- Alvord — Delayed 2 Hours
- Chico — Delayed 2 hours
