Woman Hurt In Plano Hit-And-Run, Police Seek Driver

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading tot he arrest and indictment of the hit-and-run driver.

PLANO, TX — Police in Plano are looking for the driver who struck and injured a woman in a July 31 hit-and-run in front of Plano City Hall.

Police said the woman had parked her car in the 1600 block of K Avenue around 8 p.m. that night. After she parked, the victim stepped to the back of her car, opened the rear passenger door and began searching for an item in the back seat.

While she leaned into her car, a passing vehicle side-swiped her car, striking the victim and causing several injuries.

No description of the suspect's vehicle was available, but police said it would have had damage to the driver's side.

Anyone with information about this hit-and-run is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 877-373-8477. Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 in reward money for tips leading to the arrest and indictment of people wanted for felony crimes.
