1st Annual Play For All 500 Offers Kids Fun-Filled Day Of Racing
The City of Round Rock hosts the family event featuring several divisions for kids to enjoy including wheelchair and mini power divisions.
ROUND ROCK, TX—Round Rock kids can look forward to a great time this spring with the 1st Annual Play for All 500 2021 at the park's track! Get your mobility device ready with several divisions to choose from and prepare for a great day of racing!
The family-friendly fun kicks off Saturday, April 17 at 8 a.m. and includes:
- Balance Bike Division: Ages 2-4. Register here: https://bit.ly/3fLiJKv. Can be any brand of bike that has NO PEDALS! Get those tiny little legs ready to move! Participants must use their legs to get themselves around the track. Various obstacles will be on the track the that participants will need to go over or maneuver around. Helmets are required. Age based as of 9/1/20, we will break them into groups for U2, U3 and U4, if we have enough for each age group to race . Only one Pit Crew Member (parent/guardian) may be in the race area at any time. Elbow and wrist pads are optional.
- Mini Power Car Division: Ages 4-5. Register here: https://bit.ly/2XJJubZ. Break out your electric mini cars! We will break kids into divisions based on the battery voltage and modifications. Divisions will include 12v Stock (only paint and decal modifications), 12v Modified (motor, gears and gear box changes) and Open. This is a windy racetrack, so please plan accordingly! Divisions will be determined based on the number of registrations for U4 and U5. Age is based as of 09/01/20. Helmets are required. Only one Pit Crew (parent/guardian) may be in the race area at any time.
- Wheelchair Division: All Ages. Register here: https://bit.ly/3gWQlGA. We will have two divisions for Wheelchairs! Pick from either the Manual Wheelchairs or Power Wheelchairs. Manual Wheelchairs can have a parent/guardian assist with pushing. This division will be for FUN only. Power Wheelchairs will be operated by the participant only! All ages welcomed! Helmets are required. Only one Pit Crew Member (parent/guardian) may be in the race area at any time.
Packet pickup for the event is scheduled Wednesday, April 14 and Thursday, April 15 to eliminate having to be on site early to check in. Participants will receive a schedule of events and things to know will be emailed and posted by Thursday, April 7th. For more information, click HERE.
