2 Round Rock Teens Face Capital Murder Charge In 2020 Homicide
Round Rock police have arrested two more suspects in the September 2020 death of Adam Hilzer, officials said.
ROUND ROCK, TX — Round Rock police have arrested two more suspects in the September 2020 death of Adam Hilzer, officials said.
A 15-year-old and 16-year-old suspect turned themselves in to police on July 1 and are currently booked in the Williamson Juvenile Justice Center. The Round Rock juveniles face capital murder charges in Hilzer's death, authorities said.
Raymond Salazar Jr., 19, who was the first suspect, was arrested in Southeast Houston by the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offender and Fugitive Task Force.

As of Thursday, Salazar Jr. is still booked in Williamson County Jail and faces a capital murder charge by terror threat, deadly conduct, a bond increase for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a bond increase for unlawfully carrying a weapon. His total bond is $755,000, jail records report.

On Sept. 25, 2020, police responded to a call around 3:40 p.m. for a report of a stabbing on Rawhide Loop in Round Rock, the news release said.
Officers found a 17-year-old man with a stab wound. The man was taken to an area hospital where he died. The man was later identified as Adam Hilzer.
Police said Salazar was initially named a person of interest in the case on Oct. 9, 2020. On Feb. 26, Round Rock police alerted the public to keep their eyes out for the wanted man.

It is not clear what role these two juveniles played in Hilzer's death. Because they are not adults, their identity and court records in the case are likely to remain confidential.
