200-Plus Volunteers Needed For Special Olympics Texas Winter Meet
400 volleyball players will compete at upcoming event at Round Rock Sports Center, 2400 Chisholm Trail Dr. from Feb. 2-4.

ROUND ROCK, TX — About 230 volunteers are sought to help stage the 25th annual Special Olympics Texas statewide Winter Games in Round Rock next month.
The meet is scheduled to take place at the Round Rock Sports Center, 2400 Chisholm Trail Dr. from Feb. 2-4. Volunteers from the community are needed to assist nearly 400 athletes participating in the Volleyball Competition. Those able to volunteer will assist as scorekeepers, line-callers, ball shaggers and award presenters.

The 2018 Winter Games will feature 2,600 children and adults with intellectual disabilities from all across Texas. Participating athletes will compete in one of three sports: bowling, powerlifting or volleyball. All events are free and open to the public.
