Torchy's Tacos Opening 2nd Round Rock Site July 3

ROUND ROCK, TX — Torchy’s Tacos, the popular Austin-based taco chain, is set to open its second Round Rock location on July 3 — the 17th location in the greater Austin area.

The new restaurant will open at the shuttered PS 35 restaurant space at 1500 N. Interstate 35 frontage road, Torchy's Tacos officials said. To celebrate, Torchy’s officials will stage a grand opening party on Monday, July 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. during which the community is invited to attend and enjoy free tacos, drinks and entertainment. In addition, free taco money will be up for grabs for one lucky raffle winner who visits the new location when it opens for business on Wednesday, July 3, officials said.

“We have been blown away from the turnout and support at some of our recent openings in Texas, and we can’t wait to celebrate our additional Round Rock location with local taco lovers,” G.J. Hart, CEO of Torchy’s Tacos, said in a prepared statement. “As we grow and expand throughout the Southwest, we want our most loyal fans here in Texas to know that their incredible support is what keeps us serving Damn Good tacos near and far.”

Guests can dine-in and enjoy fan favorites like the Trailer Park taco and Green Chile Queso, Torchy’s famed Taco of the Month, as well as breakfast tacos all day in the large 6,119-square-foot, stand-alone space. Just in time for warmer weather, the Round Rock location will also feature a 2,326 square foot outdoor patio and full-service bar where customers can enjoy draft beer, fresh-squeezed margaritas and other signature cocktails, officials added.

As parking is limited, guests are encouraged to park at the Round Rock Sports Center at 2400 Chisholm Trail and take a complimentary shuttle to the event. There will also be a unique ride share offer; details will be shared to the Facebook event page closer to the grand opening date.

The Round Rock restaurant will be Torchy’s Tacos’ 54th location in Texas. Torchy’s also recently opened in Pflugerville last month and in Conroe, Texas.
