60 Percent Of WilCo Coronavirus Patients Have Recovered

The latest numbers from Williamson County health officials show that there are 151 confirmed coronavirus cases as of Saturday afternoon.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Another five cases of the new coronavirus have been diagnosed in Williamson County residents, according to the latest information from health officials as of Saturday afternoon. In all, there are 151 confirmed cases of the illness in the county and four people have died.

The majority of the county's cases are in Round Rock where there are 54 cases. The breakdown of cases by community in Williamson County is as follows:

Round Rock: 54

Georgetown: 26

Cedar Park: 21

Hutto: 14

Leander: 13

Austin: 12

Other cities: 11

So far, 90 patients — or 60 percent of ill people — in the county have recovered and while a majority of patients did not need to be hospitalized, 15 of the 19 patients that needed to be in the intensive care unit required a ventilator.
