Armed Standoff In Round Rock Ends Peacefully: Police
Round Rock police responded to a report of a person barricaded in a vehicle shortly before noon Tuesday.
ROUND ROCK, TX — A standoff between Round Rock police and an armed person ended without incident Tuesday more than three hours after it began, according to police.
Police responded to the 3100 block of Bluffs Landing Way around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of a person barricaded inside a vehicle. The incident was later reported as a mental health call, KXAN reported.
Nearly two hours later, police tweeted that negotiations with the person were ongoing.

While talks continued, people were asked to avoid the area. Residents of nearby Bluffs Landing Senior Village were asked to remain indoors, according to KXAN's report.
Police said the person was eventually taken into custody shortly after 3 p.m.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and Central Texas Regional SWAT assisted during the incident.
