Catch Air Schedules Summer Activities At Austin, Round Rock Locations

ROUND ROCK, TX — Yes, it's hot, and you don't need to be reminded of that. For relief from the heat and a good place to take the kids to peter out while playing in a safe environment, think Catch Air.

With two locations in Austin and Round Rock, Catch Air is a unique children’s indoor play facility offering an open play area and party venues for children between the ages of one to 12. Parents can relax while the kids romp to their hearts' content in air-conditioned splendor.

And Catch Air officials have scheduled a number of special activities through the rest of summer.

On July 4, those wearing red, white and blue get $2 off the admission. Every paid child admission will receive a glow stick bracelet with the approval of their parents or guardians.

On July 19 at the Austin location along Anderson Mill, there will be a Princess and Prince Party from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with juvenile visitors encouraged to wear their favorite prince or princess costume to meet a real-life princess. Songs, dancing and magic tricks will be the order of the day, at no additional cost beyond admission. The Round Rock location will stage its Princess and Prince Party is scheduled July 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Through the entire month of August, a school supply drive will be conducted at both locations. Those bringing school supplies will receive $2 off admission, in exchange for three small new school supply items or one large one. Examples of small items: One pack of pencils, a pack of crayons or a notebook. Examples of one large item include a lunchbox, backpack, three-pack Kleenex or a large pack of construction paper.

Aug. 18 is the "Back to School Bash!" from 10 am. to 8 p.m., with $5 admission all day (cannot be combined with any other offer), and a free ice pop per paid child admission. From Aug. 28-31, the Value Pass sale is scheduled. Those purchasing "all value" passes purchased will be 15 percent off. "Stock up for the school year with value passes!" Catch Air officials urge. "Perfect for homework rewards or celebrations!"

The author sought an authority on playtime to gain the required perspective on Catch Air, recruiting his nephew, Benjamin, to take the Austin location for a test drive of sorts. Both his parents gave the place high marks. But the smile on Benjamin's face truly spoke volumes.

The Round Rock location is located at 1401 S. Interstate 35 frontage road, Suite 130 (behind the Whataburger). The Austin location at Anderson Mill/183 is located at 13450 N. Highway 183, Suite 107.
