Pride Month is here, which means the universal rainbow-ification of brands across the internet has taken full effect. But amid this sea of technicolor logos, Cann — the proud, queer-founded cannabis brand behind the No.1 selling THC-infused drink in America — is setting a new standard for what an authentic, “360-degree Pride” campaign should be.
In celebration of Pride 2022, Cann brought together a collection of trailblazing LGBTQ+ artists, advocates, and allies to produce an original song and music video celebrating queer love, inclusivity, and new Cann Lite in their “Taste So Good” campaign. With featured placements on top Spotify, Apple, and Amazon #Pride playlists and over 500,000 streams in less than a week, the song has become a rallying cry to not just say “gay,” but to scream it from the rooftops.

As both cannabis legalization and LGBTQ+ movements have historically been intimately intertwined, it comes as no surprise that a queer-founded cannabis brand like Cann is leading the charge for what authentic Pride marketing should look like in today’s world: radical inclusivity, inside and out.
Cann fans and press alike agree. “The Daily Beast” noted: "Some say it’s awful the way that brands and corporations parachute into activism for the 30 days of Pride Month, put some rainbow flags on things, and Hoover up the queer dollars before ignoring the community for the next 11 months. After experiencing ‘Taste So Good (The Cann Song)’ and its music video this week, I say to brands: Never stop."

Launched in 2019 by Jake Bullock and Luke Anderson, Cann champions customers giving up the booze, not the buzz, with their microdosed, non-alcoholic social tonics (2mg THC and 4mg CBD). Cann provides a light, uplifted buzz similar to a beer or glass of wine without the hangover or regrets.

Thoughtfully crafted using top-notch, internationally sourced ingredients, Cann comes in an array of unique, award-winning flavors ranging from Blood Orange Cardamom to Ginger Lemongrass. Cann is also backed by an impressive roster of celebrity investors like Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Baron Davis, Adam Devine and more.

Starring LGBTQ+ Artists, Allies And Advocates
On screen, the music video unites a diverse array of LGBTQ+ artists and advocates alike. “It was a dream come true to work on this campaign with the most amazing tribe of queer icons and allies to introduce our new Cann Lite flavors while championing our message of equality,” said Luke Anderson, co-founder of Cann.
The front-of-camera talent list includes: Vincint, rising pop star behind last year’s summer hit, “Higher”; Hayley Kiyoko, singer, songwriter, actress and fan-proclaimed “Lesbian Jesus”; Gus Kenworthy, Olympic medalist and freestyle skier; Patricia Arquette, Academy Award-winning actress and Trans activist; Kesha, original queen of TikTok and Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper; Willow Pill, winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race, Season 14”; Kornbread, “RuPaul’s Drag Race, Season 14” contestant; and finally Jorgeous, “RuPaul’s Drag Race, Season 14” contestant.

The Community Behind The Camera
This radical inclusivity extends far beyond —or perhaps behind — the on-screen. Behind the scenes, an impressive roster worked together to create a utopia of queer joy that you can see, hear and feel.
While the music video’s stars Vincint, Haley, and Kesha lent their vocals to record and star in “Taste So Good,” there was one additional vocalist who was not seen dancing in neon latex: MNEK, the Grammy-nominated, prolific pop powerhouse.
And the credits continue: Behind the lyrics was Leland, singer, songwriter and record producer; behind video direction was Jake Wilson, director and writer; and behind wardrobe styling was the House of Avalon, a queer-operated creative collective.

Culminating In A New Line Of Cann Lite Flavors
Rounding out the multi-sensory campaign is an entirely new line of 10-calorie Cann Lite flavors. Available across California in four flavors, this new line is inspired by “Taste So Good’s” message to: “Drink a little different. Because a little different Cann taste so good.”
Flavors include: Honeydew Mint, Cloudy Apple Rhubarb, Tangerine Hops and Golden Citrus Bark. If you live in California, we high-ly recommend giving these a shot. They really do taste — and feel — so good.
