Family Campout 2019 Taking Place At Old Settlers Park

Popular Round Rock family event begins Friday with fun and camping under the stars.

ROUND ROCK, TX -- The City of Round Rock to host its annual Family Campout on Friday, September 20 through Saturday, September 21 at Old Settler's Park. The popular family event invites families to enjoy dinner, play games, enjoy fun activities, watch a movie, toast s'mores, and cap of the night sleeping under the stars. Saturday morning families will enjoy breakfast before the event's conclusion.

Event registration required, $10 through Sept. 20. Registered participants receive two meals (Friday evening dinner and Saturday morning pancake and sausage breakfast), s'mores and a t-shirt.

Participants are asked to bring their own camping equipment. Suggested items to bring include:

  • Tent (participants are responsible for setup & take down of tents)
  • Sleeping bags
  • Flashlight
  • Reusable water bottle (water coolers will be available to fill bottles)
  • Insect repellent
  • Snacks and drinks (No alcohol or glass containers)
  • A chair or blanket for campfire and movie

Kona Ice will be onsite Friday evening selling shaved ice ($3-$5) and a coffee vendor will be onsite Saturday morning selling coffee and various hot & cold beverages ($2-$7).

Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a Tent Decorating Contest on Friday evening -- bring crafts and your creativity for a chance to be awarded with prizes for most creatively decorated tents (1st-3rd place).
