  • Top 50 Public Range Facility: The range at Forest Creek Golf Club features an 8,000 square foot tif-eagle putting green, expansive short game area with practice bunker, and a large, 48 space teeing ground, complete with an artificial tee line for certain occasions. The practice facility is lit with LED lighting, allowing the early birds to warm-up prior to play and the night owls to practice after the Texas sun has set for the day. The club incorporates well-defined targets and uses top quality Callaway range balls.
  • America Range Renovation Award: Forest Creek Golf Club completed an overhaul of the practice facility in 2018, resulting in a larger range field (completely surrounded by netting), a more expansive natural grass teeing ground and more defined target greens and yardages. The club also installed an artificial tee line at the back of the grass that can accommodate up to 36 golfers and added a bunker at the end of the tee for fairway bunker practice. Additionally, Forest Creek’s new LED lighting makes it the only golf course that has a lit range in the area. Forest Creek uses two ball dispensers and provides the highest quality Callaway range balls.
  • Top 100 Growth of the Game Teaching Professional: Jeff Lyle, PGA, was selected as a member of this select group of teaching professionals around the country. Jeff’s passion for instruction is evident and, with his team of professionals, he has created the Forest Creek Junior Academy. This academy currently consists of over 75 junior golfers. He also conducts three other weekly clinics, in addition to many private lessons. A PGA member for over 10 years, Jeff is a consummate professional and is truly deserving of this recognition.

“It is a great honor to be chosen as a 2020 Golf Range Association of America Top 100 Growth of the Game Teaching Professional,” Lyle said in a prepared statement. “2020 has provided us many challenges to say the least, but it has also offered a golf renaissance of sorts, as one of few activities that can be safely enjoyed amidst a worldwide pandemic. I am thankful for those who have either discovered, or rediscovered the game of golf. It has enhanced my ability to follow my greatest passion, which is to help others better understand, play, and enjoy the greatest game on Earth.”

The Forest Creek Golf Club is described as both scenic and challenging, with a longtime loyal customer base. A Dick Phelps design, Forest Creek presents rolling, tree lined fairways, undulating greens, and a layout consisting of uniquely architected holes. A staple in the Forest Creek Community for more than 20 years, the club offers a full scale practice facility as well, with an expansive natural grass tee practice range and a state-of-the-art artificial tee line. Complementing the range is an 8,000-square-foot putting/chipping green, and a 60-yard pitching center complete with a practice bunker.

Moreover, Forest Creek offers one of the area’s only LED lit practice facility and is open until 10 p.m. in season and 9 p.m. out of season. The clubhouse features the Players Grill with a variety of grilled and fried menu items. The club offers a full bar selection with beer, wine, and spirits as well as the Forest Room, a scenic banquet room for intimate banquets and parties for groups up to 100. The covered veranda is also perfect for post round gatherings overlooking our 18th green. Forest Creek is a hub for Player Development clinics, private lessons, and junior camps and clinics.

Forest Creek Golf Club boasts newly redesigned Tif-eagle greens, renovated bunkers utilizing the Better Billy Bunker method, new state of the art irrigation system, and seven new bridges. The golf course offers a more player-friendly golf experience, complete with new ladies and senior tees. The perimeter of the property showcases a beautiful strand of buffalo native grasses. Many fairway-height collection areas have been incorporated in lieu of rough or greenside bunkers. The new design still offers a great challenge to the more experienced golfer, while allowing for more enjoyment for the average player. New water features enhance the appeal of its ponds.
