Free Coronavirus Testing Offered In Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, TX — Free testing for the coronavirus is being offered through April 30, officials announced on Friday.

In coordination with Texas State University Round Rock, the Texas Division of Emergency Management is hosting free COVID-19 testing Mondays through Thursdays and the second Saturday each month now through the end of April, officials wrote in an advisory.

Testing will be conducted at Texas State University Round Rock, 1555 University Blvd. Testing will begin at 10 a.m. and close by 6 p.m. or until testing supplies last. This is a drive-up site that will not require an appointment prior to being tested, officials noted. However, officials added, pre-registration is encouraged by visiting texas.spartancovidtesting.com.

Participants do not need to be experiencing symptoms to be tested, and no insurance is required. Results will be available three to five days after testing, officials said. Residents taking the testing will receive an automated text and/or email with results once available.
