Free Pet Food For Those In Need Offered In WilCo

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter and Wag Heaven Pet Supplies & Self-Serve Dog Wash team up to provide free dog and cat food.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The county's regional animal shelter has teamed up with a local store to provide a free drive-through pet food bank, officials announced Thursday.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter and Wag Heaven Pet Supplies & Self-Serve Dog Wash, a local pet food and supplies store, have teamed up for the free service intended for residents needing help feeding their pets. Those needing free pet food are directed to visit Wag Heaven's downtown Georgetown store at 205 W. 6th Street on Sunday between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., for assistance.

Wag Heaven will be giving out free dog and cat food on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last, officials said in an advisory. The event is designed to ensure limited contact in light of the continuing need for physical distancing amid the coronavirus.
