ROUND ROCK, TX — Amid brisk city growth, pair of sizable housing developments are in the offing in Round Rock.

Members of the city council approved measures aimed at construction during their last regular meeting on Thursday. The future subdivisions are located near University Boulevard and County Road 110, close to the SH 130 toll road on the city's northeast portion.

KXAN reported council members unanimously approved annexation and zoning changes to accommodate a project that includes apartments and town homes to be constructed on a 190-acre swath of land north of the intersection. The exact number of housing units is unknown at the complex to be built on an empty lot across from the Celebrino Events Center along 51 County Road in Georgetown, Texas, according to the report.
