2 Badly Injured In Monday Morning Round Rock Shooting

Both the victim and shooter both had life-threatening injuries after the incident, police said.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Police on Monday were investigating a shooting that left two people injured in Round Rock.

The shooting happened around 7:30 a.m. in a Gold's Gym parking lot in the 4200 block of Sunrise Road, Round Rock police said on social media.

According to authorities, a gunman shot another man before turning the gun on himself. Police told Patch the incident is believed to have been the result of a domestic dispute.

Police said on Monday afternoon that the victim of the shooting was in stable condition with less severe injuries. The suspect, meanwhile, was in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities had not released the identity of the suspect as of Monday afternoon. An investigation was ongoing.
