Open House Set For Talk On Logan Street Connection Project
Residents can learn more about project that will extend Logan Road to A.W. Grimes Boulevard during April 2 open house at Baca Center.
ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — City officials will host an informational open house for the Logan Street Connection Project on Tuesday, April 2.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Allen R. Baca Center, 301 W. Bagdad Ave., from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The city is currently designing the Logan Street Connection Project as part of the Round Rock Transportation Master Plan, officials explained. This project will provide local residents with greater neighborhood connectivity and improved access for emergency vehicles by extending Logan Street to A.W. Grimes Boulevard. Design of the project began in spring 2018 and will continue through fall 2019. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2020.

Improvements include:
- Constructing a two-lane extension of Logan Street to A.W. Grimes Boulevard with a bridge over Dry Branch Tributary 1
- Connecting Heritage Springs Trail to Logan Street
- Adding sidewalks to both sides of Logan Street
- Connecting trails to Logan Street sidewalks for improved walk-ability to the school and recreation center
The project team initially shared plans with and collect feedback from 29 attendees at the first public meeting help on Oct. 4, 2018. Below are links to materials from the meeting.
