Person Detained For Threat To Round Rock ISD High School: Report
According to a news report, the principal of Westwood High School assured parents there was no ongoing threat.
A person who made a threat on social media toward Westwood High School in Round Rock is in custody, according to a news report.
The school's principal, Mario Acosta, sent a letter to parents on Sunday assuring them that there is no ongoing threat, KXAN reported. The threat was made Saturday night by someone who is not a current student at the school, according to the report.
"Overnight we were made aware of a threatening post on social media," Acosta wrote, as reported by KXAN. "The Williamson County Sheriff’s Department, Austin Police Department, Round Rock ISD, and Westwood High School administrators took immediate action to ensure that the issue was addressed."
