Police Activity Prompts Lockout At 2 Round Rock Schools
Unspecified disturbance prompts the lockout at Hernandez Middle School and Stony Point High School as an added precaution.
ROUND ROCK, TX — A pair of Round Rock schools were placed on lockout mode Wednesday afternoon amid police activity nearby, school officials said.
Round Rock ISD officials said via Twitter Hernandez Middle School and Stony Point High School were both placed on lockout as a safety precaution. As a result, all exterior doors were locked as students and staff members were directed to remain inside the building, officials said just after 4 p.m.
The nature of the police activity was not immediately known. Patch will update as more details are known.

As a safety precaution, @HernandezMS and @StonyPointHS are on lockout as the police department addresses a situation in proximity of the campuses. During the lockout, all exterior doors will be locked and students and staff will remain safe in the building.
