Rock 'N Lights Tour Offers Sensory Onslaught
Display features 3-million sparkling lights display.

ROUND ROCK, TX -- Still not in the holiday spirit? With just over a week until Christmas, this could call for emergency action in the form of a visit to the Rock ‘N Lights holiday tour with a stop at Christmas Towne featuring a display with 3 million lights being staged Monday night.
That wasn’t a typo. There are 3 million lights at the Rock’N Lights Holiday Light Tour and Christmas Towne—an annual Round Rock holiday drive-through recurrent event—that’s taking place Monday night as part of its regular schedule. The fourth annual version kicked off in late November and runs until Dec. 26.
The 1.5-mile drive-through path features a spectacular light show through Old Settlers Park, with a longer light tunnel at this year’s iteration. The spectacle is staged at the Old Settlers Association and Dell Diamond parking lot.

If the lights don’t do it for you, a stop to Christmas Towne afterwards might do the trick. Carnival rides, a light maze, go kart rides, holiday food, and live entertainment are among the holiday-spirit-inducing elements there. The next Christmas Towne opening is Friday, with several other dates thereafter through Christmas Eve.
If the play’s the thing for you, the Penfold Theatre is on hand this year for its production of “A Christmas Carol” at the Old Settlers Hall, 3300 Palm Valley Blvd.
It‘s enough to imbue anyone with the holiday spirit. Even Scrooge would be cured of his holiday angst.
