Round Rock Named Among Top Cities To Own A Home

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — Round Rock is one of the best cities in the nation in which to buy a house, according to a new survey.

Niche, a company that researches and collects reviews on cities, recently ranked Round Rock as the fifth-best city for homeowners, sandwiched between Plano, TX, as Naperville, IL. The Woodlands in the Houston area fared highest among Texas cities, landing in the third slot.

Only one other Texas city, the Dallas suburb of Richardson, made the top ten list in the seventh position. Amarillo, Texas, ranked 20th.

"Living in Round Rock offers residents a suburban feel and most residents own their homes," researchers wrote in their report. "In Round Rock there are a lot of parks. Many families and young professionals live in Round Rock and residents tend to have moderate political views. The public schools in Round Rock are highly rated."
